Text 100 has scored the Yahoo!7 and Macquarie Telecom accounts after going to battle with four other agencies for both pitches.
Macquarie Telecom and Yahoo!7 are just the latest in a list of recent wins for Text 100, including the Flip Video Launch and projects for Siemens and Nokia Siemens Networks. The agency is working alongside Burson-Marsteller on a project called 'Picture the Future' for Siemens, which is a piece of research examining the future of water and energy in Australia.
Text 100 has also hired new consultants senior account manager Katie Keenan and senior account executive Simon Clark (both pictured here). Both Keenan and Clark will be overseeing the Siemens and Symantec accounts. Keenan will also be taking care of Cisco and Yahoo!7, and Clark will be across Adobe.
"It’s very competitive out there right now, so winning Yahoo!7 is all the more satisfying," she said in a statement. "We’ve been pushing into the consumer and digital lifestyle space for some time now, and it’s very exciting to be working for a premium brand like Yahoo!7. It’s hard for an agency to be all things to all people, but our technology and B2B heritage, combined with our strong digital lifestyle credentials will ensure that our team offers Yahoo!7 the right balance of strategic thinking and creativity.”
Meanwhile, Macquarie Telecom had been using n2n for over 10 years and according to national marketing manager Denis Rowe, it was time for "a fresh approach and fresh thinking to take our comms to the next level". It was a competitive pitch which was narrowed down to four agencies, including the existing agency. Rowe said he was impressed with Text 100's deep understanding of Macquarie Telecom as a business, its customer base and the technology the company is taking to market.
"Needless to say, Text 100 is delighted to be working with this exciting and dynamic all-Australian brand," Kern told ITJourno. "Macquarie Telecom is really a champion for Australian businesses; pushing the industry for more competition in the telecommunications and hosting space, and putting an unprecedented focus on quality customer service. We look forward to working with the team to take this message out to more of the Australian business community."
