Former Bite Communications staffer Sharmin Jassal has started her new role as account director of Hill and Knowlton's technology team.

"It was not a decision to leave Bite, but more an opportunity to join Hill & Knowlton that’s guided my decision to move on. Upstream Australia (now known as Bite Communications) allowed me the opportunity to shift from an in-house position into agency-land. Joining an agency like Hill & Knowlton, a large international agency is, I believe the next natural step to take," she said.

Meanwhile, Clare Malyon from Text 100 has left her role at the agency to venture overseas with her partner and live in Vancouver. Please contact Kara Jecks and Lukas Picton for information on Adobe.

In other movements, Alexis Bicknell is also packing her bags and going overseas. "I am leaving the country – packing my bags, making the most of my UK passport and moving to London," she wrote in an email.

She finishes up her job at Hausmann on February 19th after four years with the agency. Tom Hutley will now be in charge of Sony and PlayStation and can be contacted here: 02 8353 5730; tom.hutley@hausmann.com.au. Jassal, meanwhile, can be contacted at sjassal@hillandknowlton.com.au; (02) 9286 1220
