Nintendo rolls out Black Wii campaign

Nintendo has unveiled a TV ad to promote the new Black Wii console.


Airing yesterday in metro and regional markets across free-to-air and
pay TV channels, the ad was created by Leo Burnett Sydney with media
being handled by Carat, according to information on Mumbrella.

support of the campaign it has also launched a black-themed wrap around
in MX newspapers, and featured on the Ninemsn homepage with the visual

McKeon scoops Intel PR manager role

Paul McKeon, former IBM and Dell PR pro, is back in the tech sector taking over the Intel public relations manager role from Anna Torres, who is currently on maternity leave.


McKeon has joined Intel on a one-year contract and told ITJourno he was very much looking forward to starting the new role next week. "Intel is a great company and one I've always admired," he said.

Clems wins Toshiba creative

Toshiba has named Clemenger BBDO Sydney as its creative agency to
handle its notebook business in Australia and New Zealand and audio
visual business in Australia.

According to information in
AdNews, the account was put out to pitch following the closure of
incumbent John Bevins in December 2009. The agency will begin work on

Adobe beefs up comms team in APAC

Adobe Systems has appointed Julie Cleeland Nicholls and Andy Sommer to
the Asia Pacific communications team in a bid to extend the company's
media presence in the region.

Marketing reshuffle at Panasonic

Panasonic's channel man Richard Tassone has been promoted to the newly-created role of general manager of marketing for its consumer electronics group.

Tassone's national channel sales manager role is being filled by Grant Sforcina, who was previously the state sales manager, South Australia. Both appointments take effect as of 1 April 2010.

Google hires PHD for B2B

Google has named media agency PHD to take care of its B2B initiatives.

According to a report in B&T, the previous agency working on B2B initiatives was Carat. However, a Google spokesperson said the search giant would continue to work with Carat. The appointment is on a project basis.
